Matt Schaefer

Matt Schaefer, CPL, currently serves as a Senior Landman at EOG Resources since May 2023. Prior to this role, Matt held various positions at Gulfport Energy Corporation from December 2015 to May 2023, including Land Manager, Division Landman, and Landman. Previous experience includes working as a Landman at Ascent Resources from December 2013 to December 2015 and at Chesapeake Energy from January 2010 to October 2013, where roles included Landman and Associate Landman. Matt also gained early experience as a Land Intern at Pioneer Natural Resources Company and EOG Resources in 2009 and 2008, and as a Land Administration Intern at EOG Resources in 2007. Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma, obtained in 2009.
