Simon Buchler

Simon Buchler has a diverse and extensive work experience. Simon started their career as a Trainee Solicitor at Balfour Beatty in 2012, where they worked as a secondee for a few months. Later, they joined Berwin Leighton Paisner as an Associate in Project Finance in 2013. During their time at Berwin Leighton Paisner, Simon worked on various oil and gas exploration transactions, renewable energy matters, and project finance deals. Simon also gained experience in commercial law and was involved in IT and outsourcing deals and football transactions. In 2015, Simon worked as a Legal Counsel (secondee) at the Royal Bank of Scotland, specifically in the Commercial & Private Banking division. In 2018, they joined Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP as a Senior Associate in Energy, Environmental & Infrastructure, where they worked until 2021. Simon then joined Octopus Hydrogen as their General Counsel, a role they held until September 2023. Currently, Simon is the Head of Legal - Operations at EP UK Investments Ltd.

Simon Buchler completed their education with a Galileo Master Certificate in Hydrogen Energy from the Renewable Energy Institute in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The University of Manchester between 2005 and 2008. Simon's earlier education took place at Merchant Taylors School in Northwood from 1999 to 2004, but specifics about degrees or fields of study are not available.
