Lori Cheek-Gilroy has a diverse range of experience in the field of behavioral health services. Lori is currently the Director of Behavioral Health Services at EP!C since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2012 to 2021, holding various roles such as Supervisory Social Worker - Mental Health, BHIP Clinical Social Worker, and Primary Care Mental Health Integration Clinical Social Worker. Before joining the Department of Veterans Affairs, they served as the Executive Director of Mental Health America of Illinois Valley from 2010 to 2012. Lori also worked as a Social Worker at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center from 2009 to 2010. Furthermore, they have experience at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Peoria, where they held roles as Counseling Program Supervisor, Foster Care Team Leader/Supervisor, and Therapist in the Specialized Foster Care Program from 1994 to 2009. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Lecturer in Psychology at Eureka College in 1999.

Lori Cheek-Gilroy's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Millikin University from 1987 to 1991. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Social Treatment from Western Michigan University, from 1992 to 1994.
