Anet Potgieter

Anet Potgieter is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Cognitive Systems, where expertise in In-Stream Cognitive Computing enhances adaptability in complex Big Data environments. As Co-Founder of EPCON, a European-South African joint venture, Anet focuses on epidemic control through integrated data analysis in healthcare. Anet serves as Head of the Agents Research Laboratory, developing advanced machine learning projects, and has held significant roles at The Robots and Agents Research Lab, where foundational work in robotics and artificial intelligence was conducted. Previous experience includes software development in e-commerce and knowledge engineering in various companies, with a strong academic background including a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Computer Science from the University of Pretoria.
