David Assaad

Director Marketing & Customer Solutions at EPEX SPOT

David Assaad has a diverse work experience with a focus on the energy industry. David began their career as a Foreign Intern at the Ministry of Economy at the French Embassy in Croatia in 2005. From there, they joined Powernext in 2007 as an Analyst and Project Officer in the Physical Power Market. In 2009, they moved to EPEX SPOT as a Project Manager, and later served as a Business Development Manager. In 2012, they were promoted to the role of Head of European Market Integration and Coupling. Since February 2018, David has been working at EPEX SPOT as the Director of Marketing & Customer Solutions.

David Assaad has a diverse education history. David began their studies in 2000 at the Prep School - Lycée Joffre in Montpellier, where they obtained a degree in Hypokhâgne - Khâgne in Humanities from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, they studied as an exchange student at the University of Hull, focusing on Law & Politics. During the same period, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in History at the Université Bordeaux Montaigne (ex - Bordeaux 3). Continuing their education, they obtained a Master's degree in European Politics and Economics from Sciences Po Bordeaux from 2002 to 2005. In 2006 and 2007, Assaad pursued a M.A. in European Economics at the College of Europe. David then engaged in executive education programs, completing an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from HEC Paris in 2015 and an executive education program in Competitive Strategy Programme from INSEAD in 2011. Additionally, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Babson College in 2015. Assaad also attended the Centre Européen de la Négociation (CENEGO) in 2009 for studies in Principled Negotiation.
