Lead Electrical and Avionics System Engineer at Epic Aircraft

Benjamin Ellis has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Benjamin started their career in 2009 as a Selling Associate at jcpenney. In 2012, they joined Jamco America as an Electrical Draftsman, where they gained experience in drafting electrical drawings and became the AutoCad Administrator. Benjamin was promoted to the role of Electrical Designer, working on Boeing aircraft programs, designing wiring diagrams, harnesses, and aircraft installations. In 2017, Benjamin joined CH2M HILL as an Electrical Design Tech 3 for a brief period before transitioning to Epic Aircraft. At Epic Aircraft, they initially worked as an Avionics System Engineer, designing avionics and electrical systems for the E1000 and E1000 GX aircraft. Benjamin also coordinated with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure all requirements were met. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Electrical and Avionics System Engineer at Epic Aircraft, leading a team of engineers, directing projects, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations.

Benjamin Ellis pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting in 2010 and ending in 2021. From 2010 to 2012, they attended the ITT Technical Institute, where they earned an A.A.S degree in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician. Following this, from 2019 to 2021, Benjamin attended Arizona State University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
