CTO at Epic Games

Kim Libreri has been working in the field of visual effects for over 25 years. Kim started their career as a software developer, before moving into visual effects supervision. In 2001, they founded ESC Entertainment, which was acquired by Industrial Light and Magic in 2006. Kim then moved to Lucasfilm, where they served as Senior Vice President of Technology until 2014. Kim is currently the Chief Technical Officer at Epic Games.

Kim Libreri attended Balshaw's High School before going on to study computer engineering at The University of Manchester, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Some direct reports include Marc Petit - VP, Unreal Engine Ecosystem, Vladimir Mastilovic - VP, Digital Humans Technology, and Nicholas Penwarden - VP, Engineering. They are on a team with Alain Tascan - EVP, Game Development, Matt Salazar - VP, Growth & Project Management, and Jason McGatlin - President, Special Projects. Kim Libreri reports to Tim Sweeney, Co-Founder & CEO.
