Jim Engebretsen

Jim is currently the Executive Chairman of Dynactive Software, a virtual learning and content management system, Chairman of the board of advisors for the Perpetual Education Fund, Chairman of the Finance Committee, board member for Farmer Mac, a GSE in Washington DC and Co-founder of the More Good Foundation. In 2014 Jim retired as an Associate Professor of Finance, Assistant Dean at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. Jim came to BYU after completing a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1998-2001 presiding over the Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission. He began his career in investment banking and investment management at Lehman Brothers and Goldman, Sachs in NYC and Philadelphia.

Mr Engebretsen attended Brigham Young University earning degrees in Economics (BS 1980) and an MBA (1984). Jim is an advisor to Soltis Investment Advisors, Knod University, and Zylun Global. He and his wife, Tammy, are the parents of six children.
