Hieu Nguyen

Hieu Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as a Volunteer Coordinator at the Global Energy Management Institute in 2006. In 2007, they worked as an e-Commerce Developer at PerfumeHills.com and as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Houston. Hieu also had a role as a Software Developer Intern at NetIQ during this time.

In 2010, Hieu joined Epic as an R&D Team Lead, where they led a team of 25 people and developed the low-code platform SmartForms. They also managed a project to migrate the product to a modern web architecture and implemented agile development methodologies. Hieu's work at Epic also involved reviewing customer RFPs and nurturing team members.

From 2017 to 2020, Hieu worked as a Healthcare Blockchain Specialist at Epic, focusing on health information exchange and federal initiatives. They joined the company's APAC office in 2020 as the Head of Regional Research & Development, responsible for overseeing research and development efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.

Throughout their career, Hieu has consistently demonstrated strong technical and leadership skills while contributing to the development of innovative healthcare technologies.

Hieu Nguyen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (Business Option) from the University of Houston from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, Hieu attended Le Hong Phong High School from 2000 to 2003, focusing on Mathematics and Computer Science.
