Jennifer Spengler

Jennifer Spengler has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as a Laboratory Technician at Rutgers University. Jennifer then worked as a Genetics Technician and Researcher at Millersville University, where they conducted research on bone differentiation in turtles and managed laboratory duties for the genetics course. In 2015, they joined the Stowers Institute for Medical Research as a Research Technician. At the University of Pittsburgh, from 2017 to 2021, they served as a Graduate Student, investigating the gene regulatory role of the epigenetic mark 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) in the zebrafish retina. Jennifer also performed molecular cloning and bioinformatic analysis as part of this project. Currently, they are working at EpiCypher, Inc. in various roles, starting as an Inside Sales Specialist in March 2021, then becoming a Technical Sales and Support Associate I in September 2021, and finally becoming a Senior Associate in Technical Sales and Support in January 2023.

Jennifer Spengler completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in the years 2011 to 2015. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, which they completed between 2017 and 2020.
