Jennifer Spengler has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as a Laboratory Technician at Rutgers University. Jennifer then worked as a Genetics Technician and Researcher at Millersville University, where they conducted research on bone differentiation in turtles and managed laboratory duties for the genetics course. In 2015, they joined the Stowers Institute for Medical Research as a Research Technician. At the University of Pittsburgh, from 2017 to 2021, they served as a Graduate Student, investigating the gene regulatory role of the epigenetic mark 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) in the zebrafish retina. Jennifer also performed molecular cloning and bioinformatic analysis as part of this project.
