Akpeli Nordor

Akpeli Nordor has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and business development. Akpeli co-founded Epigene Labs in 2019 and currently serves as the CEO. Prior to that, they worked at Institut Curie from 2013 to 2019, holding positions as a Postdoctoral Scientist, Doctoral Scientist, and Master Intern. Akpeli was also an Affiliate Scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, they gained experience as a Visiting Scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School from 2014 to 2018. Akpeli started their career as an intern at bluebird bio in 2012, focusing on business development and new product planning. Akpeli also had internships at OTT&PI – Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris – AP-HP, where they gained experience in business development and alliance management, as well as clinical research.

Akpeli Nordor has an extensive education history in the field of biomedical sciences and bioengineering. Akpeli obtained their Doctoral & Postdoctoral Training in Computational Biology & Biotech Entrepreneurship from Harvard University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Interdisciplinary Biology at the Learning Planet Institute from 2013 to 2016.

Before pursuing their Ph.D., Akpeli Nordor earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) specializing in Biotech Research & Development from Université Paris Cité. Akpeli attended this program from 2007 to 2013. In addition, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular and Cellular Biotherapies from Université Paris Cité in 2012-2013.

During their educational journey, Akpeli Nordor also engaged in interdisciplinary engineering seminars as a visiting student at Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, where they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 2012-2013.

Furthermore, they have acquired additional certifications to enhance their expertise. Akpeli participated in an Entrepreneurs in Clinical Academia Course at INSEAD in October 2018 and obtained an Oncology PhD Certificate from Institut Curie in November 2016.
