Virginia (Ginny) Grant has a broad and diverse work experience. Virginia (Ginny) began their career in 2003 as a Summer Medicinal Chemistry Intern/Assistant Chemist at Eli Lilly's Sphinx Laboratory. In 2004, they worked as a General Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Summer Synthetic Chemistry Intern at GlaxoSmithKline's Chemical Development. Virginia (Ginny) also worked as an Organic Chemistry Research Assistant and Laboratory Teaching Assistant at Vanderbilt University. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Medicinal Chemistry Assistant Scientist at Ligand Pharmaceuticals and a Chemistry/Math Tutor at Richmond Tutors. In 2010, they worked as a Contract Chemistry Journal Editor at American Journal Experts. In 2020, they worked as a Principal Scientist at Calibr at Scripps Research. Currently, they are working as an Associate Director of Program Management and Manufacturing Operations at Epirium. In their roles, they have participated in sourcing, developing and implementing tools that enhance organizational efficiency, lead multiple projects simultaneously, synthesized and designed analogs, interpreted biological data and analytical spectra, and aided in the design and development of drug candidates.

Virginia (Ginny) Grant has an extensive educational background. Virginia (Ginny) holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they earned between 2000 and 2004. Virginia (Ginny) then went on to earn an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Vanderbilt University between 2004 and 2006. From 2016 to 2019, they earned three certificates from UC San Diego Extended Studies in Drug Discovery & Development, ADMET Process, and Medicinal Chemistry Intensive Course.
