Nicholas Bloem

Nicholas Bloem is a Senior Autonomy Engineer at EpiSci since January 2023, focusing on developing trustable and understandable autonomous solutions for military applications, including collaborative combat aircraft. Responsibilities include leading a software team using scrum methodologies, designing autonomy representations, creating Command and Control interfaces, and developing tactical autonomy for complex decision-making processes. Previously, Nicholas served as a Senior System Engineer in Guidance, Navigation, and Controls at Raytheon Technologies, where contributions included proposing technical solutions and developing performance algorithms. An academic background in Aerospace Engineering includes a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. Other experiences encompass roles at the University of Michigan, Western Green Country Club, Yik Yak, Inc., and Sonny's Shop, encompassing diverse skills in engineering, management, and customer relations.
