Rohit Pillai

Rohit Pillai is a Staff Research Engineer at EpiSci (EpiSys Science, Inc.) since January 2022, specializing in robotics and unmanned systems, with a focus on supporting critical US Navy projects involving Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs). Prior experience includes working as an Aerial Robotics Engineer at Codex Laboratories, where modifications to PID controllers were implemented for improved drone performance, and conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on drone components. An internship at McDermott International Inc. provided foundational skills in electrical engineering, with a focus on P&ID documentation and data management. Rohit holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
