Ilya Ruderfer

Ilya Ruderfer has worked in the medical and biotherapeutic fields for over two decades. In 2022, they began working at Epitomee Medical as the Head of Analytics and Biologics. Prior to this, they were employed at Protalix Biotherapeutics from 2007 to 2022, where they held various roles including Senior Director of Protein Chemistry & New Products, Associate Director of New Products, Protein Chemistry Manager, and Protein Chemistry Project Manager. In this last role, they led the development of chemically modified proteins with superior pharmacokinetic, pharmacological, and targeting properties. Before this, they worked at Technion Israel Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2007 as a Teaching Assistant, where they taught General, Organic, and Analytical Chemistry.

Ilya Ruderfer obtained a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biochemistry from the Schulich faculty of Chemistry, Technion Israel Institute of Technology between 1997 and 2000. Ilya then went on to get a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the same institution between 2000 and 2003. Finally, they obtained a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the same institution in 2009.
