David Mellor has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. David began their career as a Computer Technician in the US Navy from 1990 to 1993. David then worked as a Senior Support Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation for six months in 1995 before becoming an Information Systems Manager at System Technology Associates from 1995 to 1997.
From 1997 to 1999, Mellor worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) / MCI Systemhouse as a Technical Architect and Senior Systems Engineer, where they managed projects for clients such as Sun Chemical Europe and Fluor Daniel.
In 1999, Mellor joined Netigy as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for developing proposals, defining services, and delivering consulting projects for clients like Enron Broadband Services and Terra Networks.
From 2001 to 2002, Mellor worked as an Independent Contractor, providing IT management consulting services to various companies, including Spinnaker Exploration, Fujitsu Consulting, Trendec, and Siemens ICN.
David then joined Getronics in 2002 as a Senior Program Manager, leading global delivery and CRM programs. In 2005, they moved to Fujitsu Consulting as the Director of Service Delivery JOC in New York City, where they successfully recovered troubled service desk and infrastructure outsourcing contracts.
Mellor's next role was at LANDAUER, Inc. from 2009 to 2018. David started as a Program Director, overseeing a large ERP implementation, before moving on to become the Director of IT Services, Director of Service Delivery and Operations, and finally the Vice President of Strategic Development.
Currently, Mellor is working at ePlus, Inc. as the Senior Director of IT Services & Operations and the Vice President of Enterprise IT Services and Infrastructure. In this role, they are responsible for driving technology innovation, collaboration, and modernization to support high growth and deliver secure technologies for business agility and customer satisfaction.
David Mellor attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1993 to 1996, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. David also obtained a certification as a Next Generation Leader from the InspireCIO Leadership Network in 2022.
