Ken Puffer

Ken Puffer has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and security. Ken began their career as a System Engineer at Data World Inc in 1990, where they provided consultation, design, and implementation of network and server systems for customers in Albany, NY and upstate New York. Ken also managed the service department and successfully resolved customer issues.

In 1992, Ken joined LIOR, Inc as a Lead System Engineer, where they continued to consult, design, and implement network and server systems for high-profile customers in New York City and northern New Jersey. Ken achieved certifications from Hewlett-Packard, Novell, and IBM and improved sales margins and customer satisfaction.

In 1995, Ken joined Valley Health System as the CTO and later as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). As CTO, they restructured the Information Systems Department and led Technology Steering Teams, ensuring the selection of systems aligned with business needs. Ken also oversaw budgets and supported various internal and external customers within the health system.

In 2015, Ken became the President of NY InfoSec, Inc, where they held the role until 2017. Following that, they joined ePlus inc. in 2016 as the Healthcare CTO.

Throughout their career, Ken has demonstrated expertise in information security, risk assessment, technology selection, budgeting, and leadership. Ken has consistently delivered results and improved customer satisfaction.

Ken Puffer has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Kaplan University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Ken also has an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from the State University of New York at Delhi, which they completed from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, Ken Puffer holds the certification of Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA, which they obtained in 2016.
