Mike Sands

Mike Sands is an experienced professional with a strong background in both emergency services and information security. Currently serving as a Firefighter-EMT with the Branchport Keuka Park Fire Department since February 2024, Mike also holds the position of Information Security Manager at ePlus inc., where responsibilities include enterprise-wide vulnerability assessment and management. Prior to these roles, Mike had a lengthy tenure at the Brighton Fire Department, ascending through ranks from Firefighter to Deputy Fire Chief, while also contributing as a Captain and Assistant Fire Chief. With foundational experience in network security at Element K and earlier roles in web management, Mike possesses a diverse skill set that combines fire service expertise with advanced information security management. Education includes studies in Information Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's in Business Management from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
