Josu Catalina Olazaguirre has a diverse range of work experience in engineering roles. Starting in 2017, they worked as a Summer Intern at FARSENS, focusing on firmware and software design for a sensing station. Josu then joined Ceit-IK4 in 2015 as an IC Analog Design Intern, where they worked on IoT devices and RFID technology. During their time at Ceit, Josu also worked as a Smart Systems Lab Intern, designing a data acquisition system for wireless chipless sensors. In 2020, they joined Irizar e-mobility for their Master Thesis Project in Systems Engineering, where they designed and implemented an application/interface for electric vehicle data processing and consumption monitoring. Following this, Josu worked as a Research Engineer/Analog IC Design at Ceit from 2020 to 2021, focusing on improving manipulation security and enabling communication between low voltage logic and high voltage power circuits. Most recently, Josu joined Littelfuse in 2021 as an Electronic Engineer/Test Engineer, specializing in hardware and inverter engineering. In 2022, they moved to EPowerlabs as a Hardware/Inverter Engineer. Josu's work experience includes roles in design, testing, manufacturing, and research, with a focus on electronics and electrical engineering.

Josu Catalina Olazaguirre completed a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra from 2019 to 2020. Josu also completed a course in Organizational Leadership from IESE Business School in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies from Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra from 2018 to 2019. Before pursuing their Bachelor's degree, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering from Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra from 2014 to 2018.

In terms of additional certifications, Josu obtained an Advanced Certificate C1 from Cambridge Assessment English in February 2021. Josu also completed an Electric Vehicle course on various topics related to electric vehicles from ICOIIG-COLEGIO OFICIAL DE INGENIEROS INDUSTRIALES DE GALICIA in November 2020. Furthermore, they became an Associate Member (Ingeniero Colegiado) of COIIG Colegio Ingenieros Industriales Gipuzkoa in September 2020. In terms of non-academic certifications, they obtained a First Aid certification from DYA in 2017 and a First Certificate B2 from Cambridge Assessment English in 2017. Finally, they obtained a Driving License B/A2 and owns a vehicle, which they acquired in April 2015 from Dirección General de Tráfico.
