Matthias Neugebauer

Matthias Neugebauer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Matthias'smost recent role is as a Principal Software Architect at Eppendorf Group since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Software Development Engineer Machine Learning from 2019 to 2022, where they contributed to the development and launch of the Amazon Monitron service.

Before joining AWS, Neugebauer worked at Bosch Security Systems from 2016 to 2019, where they held multiple roles including Architect and Developer for physical access security systems and Test Manager. At Bosch, they were responsible for delivering the technical strategy and roadmap for access control products, as well as managing international testing teams and leading the company's transition to an agile IoT and software company.

Matthias also has extensive experience at Microsoft, where they worked from 2002 to 2016. Matthias'sroles at Microsoft included Senior Project Lead for Image Understanding, Senior Program Manager for Natural User Interfaces, Senior Program Manager for Home Automation and IoT, Senior Program Manager for Embedded Virtualization, and Architect Evangelist. During their time at Microsoft, Neugebauer led various projects and teams, contributing to the development of cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, and software architecture consulting.

Neugebauer's early career includes roles at Poet Software as a Product Group Executive and Product Development Lead for eSupplier Solutions, as well as Development Team Lead and Product Development roles for database development and management tools. Matthias also started their career as an Intern Software Developer at BKS Software in Berlin.

Matthias Neugebauer attended Technische Universität Berlin from 1983 to 1990, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science. Matthias also holds a certification in ISTQB CTFL from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
