Chris Hartgrove has extensive experience in financial leadership roles within local government, currently serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer at Epping Forest District Council since February 2020. Previous positions include Interim Head of Finance at Maidstone Borough Council, where responsibilities encompassed managing the Council's Finance function and leading the Kent Business Rates Pool. Chris's notable contributions also include serving as Interim Finance Consultant during the merger of Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils and developing the Medium-Term Financial Strategy for Southampton City Council. With a foundational career at the Audit Commission, Chris possesses a strong background in financial management, audit processes, and governance, holding various leadership positions across multiple councils. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from Staffordshire University.
