Aaron Maurer

Aaron Maurer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software engineering, machine learning, and data analysis. Currently serving as an Advisor at Eppo since August 2021, Aaron provides insights on the integration of statistics, experiment design, data engineering, product engineering, machine learning, and business decision-making. Previously, Aaron was the Director of Software Engineering at Slack from June 2017 to October 2024, leading the Machine Learning & Search Infrastructure team to develop AI product models and infrastructure. Aaron's career includes roles at Airbnb as a Data Scientist and at Acumen, LLC as a Policy Associate, alongside several positions at Slack, where significant contributions to machine learning systems and experimentation processes were made. Aaron earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and History from Carleton College and a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Chicago.
