Sameeran Kunche has had a varied and impressive work experience. In 2006, they began as a Research Assistant at UCSD Moores Cancer Center. In 2008, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine, where they built computational models, ran simulations of growth dynamics in animal tissues, and conducted experiments in mice. Sameeran also trained and managed 4 research assistants and presented results at 9 conferences nationwide. In 2016, they became a Software Engineer at Synthego Corporation, where they enabled 10x growth in revenue as the sole developer of a Django e-commerce portal for selling made-to-order sequences and kits of CRISPR for genome engineering. In 2018, they became a Senior Data Scientist at Intuit and a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, where they developed VerbiAge (verbiage.help), an ML application that assists authors & publishers to write targeted book descriptions for readers in the K-12 age range. In 2020, they became Founder of Convect, where they are building tools for better ML workflows. Finally, in 2022, they will become a Software Engineer at Eppo.

Sameeran Kunche obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering from UC San Diego between 2003 and 2007. Sameeran then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine from 2007 to 2008. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine in 2015.
