Marco Gaio Resende

Marco Gaio Resende is a Project Officer at EPSF since December 2021, focusing on regulatory affairs and international cooperation within the railway sector. Responsibilities include chairing the NSA Network subgroup on cross-border agreements, negotiating cooperation with National Safety Authorities, and contributing to the revision of technical specifications for interoperability. Prior to this, Marco held multiple positions at SNCF Réseau, including Infrastructure Asset Manager and Engineering Specialist in the Bridges & Rolling Stock Interface department, where skills in asset management, life-cycle cost analysis, and infrastructure compatibility assessment were developed. Marco began a professional career with internships at SNCF, contributing to research and development projects related to bridge engineering. Academic qualifications include Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from both École nationale des ponts et chaussées and Universidade do Porto.
