Les Smith is a founding Principal of Epsilon Associates and a coastal geologist with over 30 years of experience in environmental science across public and private sectors. At Epsilon Associates since March 1997, Les Smith has contributed significantly to coastal geology. Previous roles include Head of the Environmental Sciences Group at Earth Tech and Coler & Colantonio, Inc. Les Smith has also served as a research scientist and commissioned officer with the NOAA, focusing on bathymetric and hydrology studies. Education includes a PhD candidate status in Coastal Studies from Rutgers University, an MS in Oceanography from Texas A&M University, and a BS in Geology from Syracuse University. Additionally, Les Smith held an adjunct professor position at Suffolk University, teaching Coastal Geology and Oceanography.
