John Girling, MS, is a seasoned cyber security professional with extensive experience in various roles across the technology and security sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Cyber Security Defense Specialist at Epsilon, Inc. since November 2021, John leads the Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) team, oversees operations, and provides training to new team members while managing systems and network monitoring. Prior to this role, John worked as a Cyber Security Analyst at Innovative Management Concepts, Inc., where responsibilities included research and development of security tools and techniques. Previous positions include IT Helpdesk Analyst at Vision Technologies and Assistant Facilities Manager at Western Area Power Administration, illustrating a diverse background in IT support and facilities management. John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Network Administration/Security from Metropolitan State University of Denver and two Master’s Degrees in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Colorado Denver.
