Dina Zumwalt

Dina Zumwalt serves as Vice President of Marketing and Proposals. She began at Epsilon Systems in 2019 as the Marketing Research and Proposal Center (MAPCEN) manager. She has over 20 years of defense industry experience.

Prior to joining Epsilon Systems, Dina served as a Senior Capture and Proposal Manager for Trident Proposal Management in San Diego, where she led many proposal efforts in support of major clients. Prior to joining Trident, Dina worked for McKean Defense Group in San Diego as the Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) West Coast Project Manager, overseeing IPTD facilitators in the San Diego, Pacific Northwest, and Hawaii regions and the administrative coordinator. Prior to McKean Defense Group and after leaving the U.S. Navy, Dina was employed by Amsec LLC, serving as the Carrier Team One Deputy Program Manager in Coronado, CA.

While serving as a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer, Dina held multiple positions including Course Coordinator and Instructor, Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific (EWTGPAC); Computer and Communications Officer, Expeditionary Strike Group Three (ESG 3); and Auxiliary Engineering Officer, USS Tarawa (LHA 1).

As the leader of Epsilon System’s proposal development, Dina is not only a consummate team leader, but also a team player. She sees herself as an “orchestra conductor” and leads by example, but also steps in to assist with any area that needs focus or extra time and attention to detail. She understands that it’s the team that gets things done, especially in a tight timeline, and she works to provide the guidance and know-how to develop winning proposals.

Dina earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the U.S Naval Academy and a Master of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego. She holds certificates in Global Strategy & Management and Project Management and is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.

A native of Walnut Creek, CA, she spends her free time with her family. She is married with three busy boys and two German Shepherd rescue dogs. She is actively involved with her sons’ school and her church community, including volunteering with a local children’s food charity. She enjoys traveling, skiing, swimming, and visiting with friends.
