Alec Landow has been working in the software engineering field since 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at WebAssign as a Physics Coder and Physics Technical Content Developer I. During this time, they coded physics problems from textbooks into an interactive, randomized form using Perl and ensured students always received credit if they entered any form of a correct answer.

From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Cengage as a Software Engineer, WebAssign, Associate Software Engineer, WebAssign, Physics Technical Content Developer, WebAssign, and Associate Physics Technical Content Developer, WebAssign. In 2021, they began working at Epsilon3 as a Senior Software Engineer.

Prior to their software engineering career, Landow worked at Oak Hill Academy as a Science Instructor from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they taught physics, chemistry, physical science, and algebra II classes to students grades 9-12 and taught a college credit introductory physics class with credit given through Wytheville Community College.

From 2012 to 2016, Landow also worked at the University of New Mexico as a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Lab Instructor.

Alec Landow has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Virginia (2006-2011), a Master of Science in Physics from The University of New Mexico (2012-2014), a Computer Programming Certificate from North Carolina State University (2017-2019), and a Master of Computer Science from North Carolina State University (2019-2021).
