Gary Fu

Chief Research Scientist at Epson Canada

Gary Fu is the Chief Research Scientist at Epson Canada since May 2005, responsible for leading product improvement and innovation R&D activities, including technology roadmaps and collaborations with universities. Prior roles at Epson include Principal Researcher, focusing on robotics and augmented reality, Senior Researcher, where Gary developed algorithms for various products, and Senior Developer, recognized with the EPSON President Award for advancements in camera motion correction. Earlier experience includes a fellowship at UNU-IIST, where Gary led IT projects and training, and a Senior Software Engineer position at the Institute of Computing Technology in China. Gary holds a PhD in Medical Image Computing from the University of Kent.
