Epworth Children & Family Services
Katie Lappe is a seasoned social worker with extensive experience in providing support and services to at-risk populations, particularly youth and veterans. Currently serving as the Lead Library Social Worker at Epworth Children & Family Services since August 2018, Katie coordinates with the St. County Library to enhance services across twenty branches. Previously, as the Intrada Coordinator, Katie developed a program for young adults exiting foster care, focusing on health, career development, and community building. Prior roles include Lead Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager at St. Patrick Center, where Katie secured housing for over 200 veterans and enhanced access to transportation, and Case Manager at Lawrence Hall, where Katie supported youth transitioning from residential care. With a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Katie is dedicated to implementing best practices in supportive housing and trauma-informed care.
