Kristophes Cowie

Kristophes Cowie started working at Newtopia Inc. in August 2019 as a Genetics Intern and later became a Research Analyst. In July 2021, they joined EQ Works as a Data Engineer Intern, where they worked on projects related to flood water identification using neural networks. From March 2022, they took on the role of Data Engineer at EQ Works, where they built a merchant identification and categorization model using NER neural networks and machine learning models, resulting in improved accuracy and speed compared to previous models.

Kristophes Cowie has a diverse education background with a focus on data science and biology. In 2016-2017, they attended Sheridan College, where they pursued a degree in Pre-Health with a specialization in Biology, General. Afterward, in 2020, they attended Lighthouse Labs, where they completed a Data Science Bootcamp as well as an introductory course in Data Analytics. These educational experiences indicate their interest and expertise in data science and biology.
