Miguel Silveira

Miguel Silveira is a co-founder of MadeinSea, engaged in sustainable blue economy initiatives focused on organic sea salt production and seagrass cultivation for climate-smart practices. As a board member of Terras de Sal, Miguel contributes to a collective for sustainable marine salt production and serves on the Protected Area Co-management Commission for the Reserva Natural do Sapal de Castro Marim e Vila Real de Santo António, emphasizing integrated coastal zone management. Additionally, Miguel acts as an external expert for the European Commission and participates in various expert pools, including CINEA and Ecorys, supporting sustainable investment and strategic partnerships. Miguel has held leadership roles in blue tourism and biodiversity conservation, with extensive educational qualifications, including a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies from the University of Lisbon.
