Armin Catovic

Armin Catovic is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in machine learning and data science. Currently serving as Vice President and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at EQT Group since April 2022, Armin utilizes data aggregation and statistics to provide high-quality organizational insights, assisting investment professionals in assessing return profiles. Additionally, Armin leads the internal machine learning and data science community at EQT and Motherbrain. In parallel, Armin is a Board Member at Stockholm AI since May 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Data Scientist and Tech Lead at Schibsted, where Armin focused on contextual advertising and developed NLP tools. Armin also founded the Ericsson Mast-as-a-Sensor initiative at Ericsson, which innovatively transformed 4G/5G radio masts into traffic sensors, achieving successful field trials. Armin's career began at DGIT Systems as a Project Coordinator followed by various technical roles. Armin holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering and Computer Science from Swinburne University of Technology.
