Gautam Nadella

Gautam has long had a love of problem solving and numbers, which partially led him to graduate from Stanford in Math & Computational Science. Going to college however in the valley, he was able to see the inner workings of many leading companies especially starting at McKinsey. From there he spent many years, before and after graduating from Harvard Business School, leading strategy, investments, acquisitions, partnerships and divestitures across a number of enterprise, e-commerce, media and consumer platforms first at Cisco and then at eBay.

Still, there remained an itch to work with smaller companies which led him to then head up corporate and business development at BlueCat, and later to lead corporate development at Next Insurance. In all, Gautam has led strategy and activity that resulted in over $10B of deals in addition to several successful venture exits.

As an Operating Partner at EQT Ventures, Gautam provides the portfolio with experience and focus to help management drive external growth, strengthen industry and financial partner relationships, and plan as well as execute strategic financings and exits. Outside of work, Gautam enjoys travelling, reading historical nonfiction and following his favorite hometown LA teams. Of course, this is all when he and his wife are not enjoying time with their two very energetic sons.
