Samir Aksekar

Samir Aksekar currently serves as the Cybersecurity Director at EQT Group, providing guidance to APAC portfolio companies on cybersecurity matters since March 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Tata Digital from May 2021 to March 2024, where notable achievements included securing the launch of India’s first super-app and facilitating timely risk management for various businesses. Samir held the position of Director of Cybersecurity at Cyberwis Pte. Ltd. from October 2019 to April 2021, focusing on implementing cybersecurity frameworks across banking and healthcare sectors. Significant contributions were made during tenure as Executive Director of Cyber Security & Technology Controls at J.P. Morgan Singapore from September 2010 to May 2019, including expanding business operations in emerging markets and enhancing information security solutions. Earlier roles include Vice President positions at both JPMorganChase India and IBM, emphasizing strategic network services and governance. Samir holds an MBA in Human Resources from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a Bcom in Commerce from Chinnai College.
