Shalyn Powell

Shalyn Powell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the legal and energy industries. Shalyn started their career as an Intern at Butler County District Attorney in 2011, followed by a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2012, they became a Certified Legal Intern at Butler County Public Defender. Shalyn then worked as a Law Clerk at Sommer Law Group, where they assisted with litigation on various civil matters. Shalyn also worked as a Legal Assistant at Burns White LLC, an Associate Attorney at S.R. Law LLC, an Attorney Abstractor at Chain of Title Land Services, and an Oil and Gas Attorney at Babst Calland. In 2016, they transitioned to CONSOL Energy as a Lease Analyst, before joining EQT Corporation in 2017 as a Title Analyst III, Team Lead. In this role, they managed, supervised, and trained a project team while improving data presentation and coordinating projects across departments.

Shalyn Powell obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Anthropology from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Following this, they attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 2010 to 2013 and earned their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with a focus on Law. Shalyn also obtained the Pa BAR certification from the Board Of Bar Examiners in July 2015.
