Yassine Z.

Yassine Z. has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Yassine started their career at Verizon in 2005 as a Data Technical Coordinator II and worked there until 2008. Yassine then joined the University of Pittsburgh as a Help Desk Analyst for a few months in 2008. In 2009, they moved to Carnegie Mellon University and took on the roles of Consultant & Knowledge Center Specialist until 2012, and later became an Information Security Engineer until 2013. Yassine then joined Dell SecureWorks in 2013 as a Senior Intrusion Analyst & Malware Hunter until 2014. Currently, they are working as a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer at EQT Corporation.

Yassine Z. completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Information Technology at Western Governors University from 2005 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Security and Assurance at Carnegie Mellon University from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, Yassine earned various certifications including the ICS-CERT Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity certification from Idaho National Laboratory in October 2014, the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from Global Information Assurance Certification in October 2013, and the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification also from Global Information Assurance Certification in January 2013.
