Anna Powell

Anna is the Teaching Talent Recruitment Manager at Equal Education Recruitment Partners and oversees the compliance & vetting of teachers and learning support staff. Anna is responsible for attracting education staff to Equal Education Recruitment Partners and supporting candidates through the recruitment process. Anna prides herself in forging positive working relationships with teachers and learning support staff to ensure their experience with Equal is a positive one.

Anna has worked in education recruitment for 17 years dealing with Primary and Secondary Schools across Wales. She is extremely passionate about education and supporting Teachers and Learning Support Staff’s professional development to secure a position in a school.

In University, Anna studied a B.A Hispanic Studies degree at Queen Mary and Westfield College in London. As part her degree she spent a year in Barcelona and she worked as a Teaching Assistant. Whilst living there Anna had the opportunity to learn both Catalan and Spanish and it gave her the opportunity to fine-tune her language skills.

Anna is a keen runner and has completed several marathons during lockdown, in the same breath she is extremely clumsy. She has several awards to prove it.
