Carolyn Rahman

Co-Founder & Director at Equal Education Partners

Carolyn founded equal in 2011 alongside her son, Liam. She has overseen the growth of our education and training teams as well as developing new initiatives for the company. Carolyn’s main focus is on enabling schools to attract, retain and develop excellent education professionals.

Carolyn is a firm believer in ethical employment and ensures that all our team members feel respected, valued and supported, which is something we’re passionate about at Equal.

After completing a BA in European Languages and Institutions at Leeds University. She went on to become an experienced teacher of Spanish and French. Carolyn draws on her experience and knowledge to coordinate, produce, and deliver professional learning opportunities. Helping our teaching and classroom teams in collaboration with school improvement bodies, the Welsh Government and the Education Workforce Council.

Carolyn completed a BA in European Languages and Institutions (Spanish, French and Politics) at Leeds University and a PGCE (MFL) at Swansea University. In 2018, Carolyn completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme delivered by Said Business School at the University of Oxford in collaboration with Goldman Sachs.

When ‘school is out!’, Carolyn spends her time with her sons, three dogs and her ‘diva’ cat. We’re all multilingual!

Mallorca is Carolyn’s favourite holiday destination. And her favourite saying is ‘hay que desplegar las alas y volar!’, meaning ‘you must spread your wings and fly!’.
