Throughout their education and career, they engaged in self-study, focusing on various areas. In 2004, they undertook self-study to become an MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer), and they also received Oracle Training in Administering an Oracle 9i Database.

In 2014, Chris K. pursued self-study once again, this time focusing on Infrastructure as Code. They also gained expertise in Agile practices, ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), Configuration Management, Scrum, Kanban, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) through self-study from 1997 to 2016.

Within the field of AWS (Amazon Web Services), Chris K. accomplished multiple certifications. In 2016, they achieved the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate certification. In 2018, they pursued self-study to become an AWS Certified Sysops Associate and obtained the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in May of that year. Furthermore, they received training in AWS, Automation, Linux, Ansible, and Azure through platforms like Linux Academy, Pluralsight, and Blogs from 2016 to 2026.
