Eugene Prinsloo

Eugene Prinsloo has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eugene currently holds the position of Senior Scala Developer at Disney Streaming and Senior Software Engineer at Equal Experts, both starting in 2021. Prior to these roles, they worked at SPAN Digital Innovation as a Senior Software Engineering, where they were involved in the development of the Architecture Decision Support System (ADSS). At Derivco, they served as a Senior Software Developer, focusing on game engine development and tooling using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and Electron. Earlier in their career, Eugene held the role of Software Developer at Trinity Telecoms, where they worked on designing and implementing reactive, event-based servers and services using Scala. Eugene also worked at Psitek, Atos Origin/SchlumbergerSema, SEMA Group Pty Ltd, PHAROS CONSULTING CC, and Integra Systems (Pty) Ltd, gaining experience in various software development roles.

Eugene Prinsloo has a significant education history in the field of computer science. Eugene attended UNISA from 2002 to 2011, where they obtained a BSC degree with a specialization in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Pretoria Technikon from 1995 to 1997, although they did not complete a degree in Engineering Computer Systems.

In addition to their academic degrees, Eugene Prinsloo has also obtained certifications in the field. In December 2013, they completed a course on the Principles of Reactive Programming from Coursera. In May 2013, they also completed a course titled Functional Programming Principles in Scala from the same institution.
