Johan Basson

Johan Basson has extensive work experience in the software development field. Johan is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Equal Experts since December 2022. Prior to this, Johan worked at Cibecs from December 2011, where they held the position of Senior Developer. During their time at Cibecs, they played a significant role in developing and building the Cibecs Endpoint Cloud product using Microservice Architecture and CQRS, implemented various microservices using Spring Boot and Axon, and implemented various Azure Devops pipelines.

Before joining Cibecs, Johan worked at Marketel from January 2011 to November 2011 as a Senior Developer. Johan started their career at Bhyve Technologies in April 2003, where they served as a Lead Developer until November 2011. At Bhyve Technologies, they were responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Bhyve application suite, including the design and development of a web-based Rapid Mobile Application Designer and a web-based Management Console.

Prior to their time at Bhyve Technologies, Johan worked at Lava Systems Africa as a Programmer. Johan also gained experience at Intersolve Health Informatics as a Programmer, where they worked on the conversion of a DOS medical supply application into a web-based application and the modification of an existing medical system.

Johan started their career as a Junior Programmer at Lava Systems in January 2000, where they were involved in the design and implementation of a Java application to benchmark Livelink and the development of a Visual Basic tender tracking system for the Department of Finance. Johan also worked on integration development with Visual Basic into Livelink.
