Kevin Ashton

Kevin Ashton has over 18 years of extensive work experience in software development and architecture. Their most recent role is Senior Software Engineer at Equal Experts, starting in November 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Architect at iPlatformGlobal from May 2017 to September 2020. At iPlatformGlobal, they were responsible for architecture, design, and initial development of the SaaS platform, as well as leading a multinational team. Kevin also reviewed, implemented, and maintained cloud hosting services. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at FedGroup, where they developed a high-performance data warehousing solution and integrated external CRM systems and data providers. Kevin also worked on new development and maintenance of the core line of business system. At Lion of Africa Insurance, they held the position of Senior Software Developer from September 2012 to December 2015, where they developed various web-based and desktop applications and tools, automated services, and calculation tools. Kevin also provided training and mentoring to other developers. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Developer at Intervate from February 2012 to October 2012 and at Dariel Solutions from April 2008 to January 2012. Kevin started their career as a Software Developer at Cartrack from March 2006 to March 2008, where they developed production/testing tools, software interfaces, and internal stock control systems. Their earliest role was as a Software Developer at ProLoCon CC from March 2002 to March 2006, where they worked on traceability software, software interfaces, technical support, and ERP system development.

Kevin Ashton attended Summit College from 1998 to 2001, where they earned an IEB Matric degree in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. In February 2015, they obtained a certification in F# and Functional Programming in Finance from Quants Hub.
