Mark Sims is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in leading and transforming technology projects across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at YLD since September 2021, Mark contributes to the development of significant open source platforms that facilitate global collaboration for scientists. Previously, Mark held various roles including Lead Engineer at ION Analytics, where leadership of an engineering team focused on serverless architectures and modern development practices was emphasized. Prior experience at Acuris Global involved spearheading a major technological shift from a monolithic to a microservices architecture. Additional positions include roles at The Mergermarket Group, CityandOut as Co-Founder and CTO, and several consultancy positions with prominent firms.
