Erica Washington is a seasoned legal professional with a focus on restorative justice and civil rights. Currently serving as a Senior Restorative Justice Strategist at Equal Justice USA, Erica develops restorative justice diversion programs nationwide and advises on organizing and policy development. Prior to this role, Erica was a Senior Program Specialist at Impact Justice, where support was provided to counties in launching restorative justice initiatives. Erica's experience also includes serving as a Staff Attorney at the Center for Death Penalty Litigation, supporting inmates on death row, and working as a Paralegal at the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. Erica's legal journey began with internships at AARP: Legal Counsel for the Elderly, Rubin, Winston, Diercks, Harris & Cooke, L.L.P., and Thompson, Cobb, Bazilio & Associates. Erica holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia.
