John Stoneman has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. John is currently the Head of IT Portfolios at Equans UK & Ireland, where they are responsible for managing and delivering all IT projects for new contract wins, office moves, and fitouts. John has built a self-sufficient team and introduced best practices and processes to support portfolio delivery. Prior to this, John worked at ENGIE – UK & Ireland as an IT Portfolio Lead and IT Project Manager, where they managed the end-to-end delivery of IT projects and provided leadership to the project delivery team. John also has experience as an IT Mobilisation Services Manager and Site Setup Delivery Analyst at COFELY UK - GDF SUEZ GROUP, and as an IT Support Team Leader at Balfour Beatty Workplace. John started their career at Haden Building Management as a Helpdesk Support Specialist and progressed to roles as a PC & Network Support Specialist and eventually a Team Leader.
John Stoneman earned a BSc in Information Technology from Northumbria University in 2006-2007 and a Foundation Degree in ICT Support from Gateshead College in 2004-2005. In addition, they obtained various certifications including Mental Health at Work (Level 2) from the Qualifications Network, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum.org, and PRINCE2® 2017 Foundation & Practitioner from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2017.
