Simon Vu

Scientist at Equator Therapeutics

Simon has a background in the structure-function relationship of ion channels and expertise in biophysical methods such as cellular electrophysiology, computational modeling, and structural analysis. His previous work focused on identification of key interactions involved in the ligand activation of TRP channels for the development of new pain treatments. In addition, his work contributed to the understanding of how TRP channels are regulated by temperature at the molecular level. To conduct these studies, he was awarded the American Heart Association Fellowship. Simon received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of California Davis.
