Smith serves as president,chief executive officer and board chair of WEX, a global payment processing and information services provider. Since she assumed the role of CEO in 2014, WEX revenue has doubled as Smith drove the company’s strategic growth, overseeing major acquisitions, technology investments and international expansion.
Prior to her role as CEO, Smith also served as chief financial officer for ten years where she spearheaded the company’s initial public offering in 2005. Before joining WEX, Smith held the role of senior auditor at Ernst & Young LLP.
