Eli Tayrien

Eli Tayrien has over 19 years of work experience in various software engineering roles. Eli currently serves as the Director of Software Engineering at Equilibrium Energy since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Leaftail Labs as the Chief Technology Officer from July 2017 to August 2022. From 2014 to 2019, Eli was the Founder of SPACE FEELINGS SOFTWARE, LLC where they created CascadeSkier, a popular weather app for skiers in the Pacific Northwest. Eli also worked at HBO Codelabs as a Senior Staff Engineering Lead from January 2014 to July 2017. Before that, they worked at Microsoft for 9 years, starting as a Software Development Engineer II in October 2005 and eventually becoming a Senior Software Development Engineer, focusing on Xbox and Microsoft Game Studios teams. Prior to joining Microsoft, Eli worked as a Game Engine Programmer at Rochester Institute of Technology and as a Software Development Intern at Genergy, Inc. in 2004 and 2003 respectively.
