Garrett Summers

Garrett Summers is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and data engineering. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and Data Engineering Team Lead at Equilibrium Energy since March 2021, Garrett previously held pivotal roles at Shell as Lead Data/DevOps Engineer and Senior Full Stack Engineer from June 2019 to March 2021. Prior to Shell, Garrett was a Senior Software Engineer at GE Digital and participated in the Digital Technology Leadership Program during tenure at GE Digital, which focused on merging technical skills with business insights. Additional experience includes research in natural language processing at Digital Democracy and various roles in software and app development, coupled with a foundational role as a Flameworking Instructor at Cal Poly ASI. Garrett holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
